-
The Yorks Still Yoked
-

-
Could the Duke and Duchess of York be the royal family's answer
- to Roseanne and Tom? They are nearly as confusing in the signals
- they are sending about their marriage. Separated for 11 months,
- PRINCE ANDREW and his feisty wife SARAH FERGUSON were together
- at a cocktail party aboard the minesweeper that Andrew captains.
- The couple then headed to a London nightclub. Rumors that a
- reconciliation is in the offing have been given more weight
- by the fact that Fergie has commissioned a portrait of herself
- and her daughters for the prince.

-
So You Want to Be Hugh Grant's Girlfriend?
-

-
The legions of dreamy-eyed women intent on winning the love
- of HUGH GRANT should know that their competition is formidable.
- She is ELIZABETH HURLEY, the British actress he has dated for
- seven years. When Hurley appeared at a London gala in a Versace
- gown that shamelessly revealed what little use she would have
- for a Wonderbra, the press criticized her for upstaging her
- beau. But Hurley has yet to eclipse Grant cinematically. Her
- latest film, a horror movie called Beyond Bedlam, opened in
- Britain to poor reviews, one of which called it "an act of environmental
- pollution."

-
He's Out
-

-
DARRYL STRAWBERRY had always yearned to play baseball for his
- hometown team, the L.A. Dodgers. In 1990 he finally got his
- wish. But, ever since, he has battled injuries, drug use and
- the IRS. Now, a month after he enrolled in a drug-treatment
- program, the Dodgers have released him. "I regret that I did
- not live up to everyone's expectations," he said.

-
SEEN & HEARD
-

-
He looks pretty tough, but he's not invulnerable. Saying he
- feared for his safety, JOEY BUTTAFUOCO claimed that Elliott
- Fisher, father of his volatile ex-girlfriend Amy, had threatened
- his life. Fisher denied the charge and said instead that Buttafuoco
- had threatened his life. Police will investigate.
-

-
Californians hoping to hear Evergreen sung live and eager to
- purchase the pricey Babsobilia sold on BARBRA STREISAND's current
- concert tour, her first since 1966, will have to wait. Debilitated
- by inflamed vocal cords, the diva called off four Anaheim performances
- last week. The shows, which commanded up to $350 a ticket, were
- rescheduled for July.
-

-
Convivial septuagenarian game-show emcee BOB BARKER has been
- threatened with a sexual-harassment suit by his former Price
- Is Right co-host, DIAN PARKINSON. Barker admitted to an 18-month
- relationship with the shapely Playboy model but denied any harassment.
- "She told me that I had been so straitlaced and that it was
- time I had a little hanky-panky in my life," said Barker, "and
- she volunteered the hanky-panky." Barker also suggested that
- Parkinson, 25 years his junior, "may feel like a woman scorned"
- because it was his decision to end the affair.
